Ich binde hinab zu dem Palaimon Aris-tophanes und Aristarchos und Ke-phisophon und Kephisodotos und Epi-kouros und Alexandros und Alexias,und ich flehe dich an, o Palaimon, werdeRächer an denen, die ich dir hinabgeschriebenhabe, und bei den Richtern mache sie augenscheinlichUnrecht sagen, und bei den Zeugen, dass nutzloswird, was sie machen, und fess-le deren Hände, Zunge,Seele und Werke von diesen,denn Unrecht sollen sie machen oderauch sagen. Und so nun Unrecht tut Aristophanes,soll er deinen Hass abbekommen.
I bind down before Palaimon Aris-tophanes and Aristarchos and Keph-isophon and Kephisodotos and Epi-kouros and Alexandros and Alexia-s and I beseech you, O Palaimon: be-come a punisher of those whom I have listedfor you, and to the judges let them seemto speak unjust things, and for the witnesses may what theydo be useless. And bindtheir hands, tongue,soul, and their worksfor unjust things they both doand say. So as he acts unjunstly, thus may Aristophanesincur your hatred.
